Bikes FAQs

I want to start taking mountain biking seriously as a sport. Where can I find the best bike to fit my needs?

Not all bikes are made the same. While a discount chain store may be the appropriate place to buy a bike for your child or your grandmother, it may not be the best place for you to find a bike that fits your needs. For the best bike for you try a bike shop. Bike shops have specialists on hand that can get you set up the right way, the first time.

What type of mountain bike should I buy?

There are six main types of mountain bikes. These include: comfort, hybrid, hardtail, single speed, full suspension and freeride. One of these types of bikes will fit your style and riding needs. Talk with a bike salesperson to determine which one will work best for you.

I ride on trails. Is there a special type of mountain bike for me?

Yes, there is a special type of bike for you. This bike is called a trail bike. Trail bikes are tuned for balance when riding.
